One week to go and the open boys are off again to try and bring back another shield our record is very good over the last 3 years winning one and runner up in the other two

This years team has 6 new additions from last year although the master of spin Ty shane Hopes did tour the previous year this years team is Nick deGrys Capt

Ty Hopes  Lee Irwin Jarrod Daniels David Hankins Danny McLauchlan and the new boys are Chris Leatherday Matt Stifler Jason Brown Sam Barnes - Sidall & Jesse Barron

A very good squad and should be right there once again if they stay focused

It is with much regret that at this stage WA will not be sending any Masters teams to Cains for the 2009 Championships due to the prohibitive cost factors getting teams to travel long distances every year has become a real financial burden as it is usually the same players every year and with the economy the way it is at the moment it has become almost impossible for WA to travel and compete I certainly hope that the downturn in the economy has not sounded the death knell for our Masters teams .
