Australian Indoor Cricket Masters Championships 2009
It is with much regret that at this stage WA will not be sending any Masters teams to Cains for the 2009 Championships due to the prohibitive cost factors getting teams to travel long distances every year has become a real financial burden as it is usually the same players every year and with the economy the way it is at the moment it has become almost impossible for WA to travel and compete I certainly hope that the downturn in the economy has not sounded the death knell for our Masters teams .

ARe all teams still out or have you had a change of heart
G’day Ashley & thanks for your question. Unfortunately numbers are down this year and the situation remains the same at this stage. Attempts are still being made to find quality players that are financial. (with out much success) As far as i know 45’s are desperate to go and will continue to train at this stage and again are struggling for players, in particular a keeper. Personally as a former representative it would be an absolute tragedy to see WA Masters disappear from this event. I will keep you posted.

Any further news on the Masters sides guys ?
G’day Aaron.
News to date is that some players have shown interest and made enquiries and whether they go or not depends if we can get the numbers. I know o/ 45’s are still chasing a keeper. Players are needed for o/35’s & o/40’s if you are interested or know of anyone please contact Ballajura Sports on 92491166 for training details. Thanks for your interest.
